Pumping and breast milk storage
Expressing milk gives you flexibility — but it only helps if you know what's in the fridge and how long it's good for. A quick log of every session keeps your stash organized and safe.
How long expressed breast milk keeps
- Room temperature: up to about 4 hours.
- Fridge: up to about 4 days.
- Freezer: up to about 6 months (best within 3).
Tip: label each portion with the date and use the oldest first. Thaw in the fridge, never re-freeze.
